Elena has been practicing immigration law for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Iowa and later earned her law degree from Creighton University School of Law. Elena is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and Iowa. She also practices law in immigration courts throughout the U.S., including Puerto Rico.

Early in her career, Elena clerked for the US Immigration and Naturalization Service; Milton Abrahams Legal Clinic; and Justice for our Neighbors. She later worked at a private immigration law firm for 15 years. In 2018, she returned to non-profit law working at the Women’s Center for Advancement representing survivors of abuse and trafficking with T/U visas and VAWA self- petitions. Elena also worked at the Immigrant Legal Center where she helped abused, abandoned, and neglected children obtain juvenile visas.

In addition to Reveiz Law Firm, Elena currently works with the Heart Ministries Center, the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines, and volunteers at free legal clinics sponsored by the bar association on a regular basis. Elena also practices in juvenile and family courts representing children and families impacted by immigration. Elena has an office in Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines, Iowa.
